Sometimes the unthinkable happens
We live our lives scheming and struggling and hoping and wishing and trying. We live our lives as extreme acts of faith, jumping into the unknown or staying back to play it safe. We live our lives hoping against hope that nothing too terrible will happen, that the unthinkable things will never unfold in our own lives.
But sometimes they do. Sometimes they do. Sometimes the person you love does violent and terrifying things to you. Sometimes the person you love dies. Sometimes the diagnosis comes, either to you or a loved one. Sometimes you don’t get a chance to say goodbye. Sometimes the violation is wordless and it pushes you outside the human world, because you don’t believe another living soul could possibly understand.
