DARVO 2: the cancelling
The proponents of cancel culture, or what they call ‘accountability’, argue for a situation in which survivors are to be believed without question, accusations are to be shared widely across the internet, and abusers are forced to face ‘consequences’ such as losing their friends, community, projects, and sometimes even employment and housing, as well as being harassed and dehumanized in public in front of an audience of thousands.
